Wednesday’s word challenge on partner Susan and my alternate site was CARTS.
In the above photos it is obvious that someone’s belongings are being carted away from the site in an unusual manner. Did the owner of the property ski out on paying rent and leave their furniture behind? The answer is a definite no.
A few weeks ago I wrote about an early morning mattress fire which forced tenants from their suites until firefighters could extinguish the smoke and fire.
Today was the official day when the personal belongings were removed from the area. The resident left the suite due to smoke and water damage.
As reported earlier a female resident dropped her cell phone on the floor in her bedroom and used her cigarette lighter to locate it in the dark. The flame touched the mattress and the rest is history.
The mattress itself was not fire retardant and the ire spread easily.
Using a front end loader with an extra large bucket to transport the property out of the suite is a cost effective way to clean up the area.
