“There are three things that I’ve learned never to discuss with people: religion, politics and the Great Pumpkin.” —It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
The place where real pumpkins are weighed ( top right) and concrete ones photographed (lower right).
Last week’s Wednesday Challenge on partner Susan and my alternate site was in tune with the upcoming bewitching day HALLOWEEN.
Recognized as the Pumpkin Capital of Alberta and home of the annual Great White North Pumpkin Fair, the town of Smoky Lake also features a Pumpkin Park.
It is located in central Alberta, Canada, 116 km northeast of Edmonton .
Families from all over Alberta come to see the famous giant concrete pumpkins. The park is also considered the launch point for many planning an adventure down the famous Iron Horse Trail.
It is the type of park that would definitely enthrall and impress Charlie Brown’s friend Linus.
Yes there is a Great Pumpkin but measured here by weight and not expectation.

Pumpkins appear to carry more weight in your neck of the woods than they do in mine! 😁
