“The sky grew darker, painted blue on blue, one stroke at a time, into deeper and deeper shades of night.”―

This week’s Wednesday challenge on partner Susan and my alternate site was titled AUTUMN MAGIC.
Lynne Reimer, an enthusiastic photographer and friend, recently captured this dramatic photo of a country sunset as she was driving home from work.
The setting was so impactful that she parked her car on the side of the road and started photographing the majestic night sky unfolding before her.
I live in a large city and the majestic color and scope of the night sky are hidden from view by the large apartment and commercial structures that blot out a good portion of the night sky.
Now that autumn is officially with us and the days getting shorter treat yourself and grab your camera and take a ride in the country to enjoy the visual displays of beauty that Mother Nature provides us at no cost.
It certainly is a beautiful night sky and full of autumn colour.
I sometimes forget how fortunate I am to live where the stars are counted on a cloudless night and evening sunsets are a familiar sight. 🙂
