Turning mountains into mole hills

“If you want to get rid of stuff you can always do a good spring cleaning. Or you can do what I do. Move —Ellen DeGeneres.

My television’s Digital Video Recording device (DVR) is once again on the fritz. As a result I am discovering a world of activity happening outside my balcony window. The replacement device lasted 24 hours and decide to quit on me. Rats.

So much for my watching CNN’s reporting of a news event  or a sport’s network’s soccer coverage  or even the latest food contest from Guy Fieri on the Food channel. So curious person that I am I decided to open my balcony drapes and see what the heck was happening outside.

I noticed a few ground maintenance personnel using some type of equipment to dislodge and move the winter debris from the area.

The first photo in this series was taken roughly one month ago and I wondered how the mini Sierra Madre mountain range would be removed from the lot. I realized that the melting snow and ice would leave a mess on the property.

I had never seen the ground crew cleaning up the area s I grabbed my camera and began documenting the event. These guys were efficient, professional and friendly when I spoke with them.

I offer a tip of the hat to these behind the scene gentlemen who do a great job of keeping the property looking great.

These guys did convert this mountain of winter congestion into unobtrusive mole hills.
