Beautiful is a very relative term

Wednesday’s word challenge on partner Susan and my alternate site was the word BEAUTIFUL.

Yesterday on a leisurely drive in the countryside a friend and I happened upon two awe inspiring country churches that architecturally defined the word prompt itself.

They were not inside the confines of any city or town limit yet they quietly radiated  a presence that silently persuaded this photographer to stop the car, get out and trudge in the frozen snow and snap a few quick photos for posterity ( well my blog anyway).

This type of charm and beauty is not limited to the confines of either a big city or small town.

The landscape around the two distinct areas was still covered in melting ice and snow but the discovery of the small houses of worship in the middle of nowhere made the discovery monumental.

More road trips are definitely in the offing for me. The warmer weather and future drives in the country offer a welcome respite from a COVID 19 dominated reality.
