Lego is fun; it’s therapeutic. It’s a beautiful sensation when you click the pieces together.”

Last Saturday’s challenge on partner Susan’s alternate site was the word ART.
This is my second entry to this challenge because as I was strolling through an almost empty West Edmonton Mall recently I happened upon a life sized LEGO display that added color, life and a sense of fun to an almost lifeless and bleak commercial setting.
For the past year the bloody COVD 19 virus has drastically changed and challenged the way of life that many people had come to know and appreciate.
Friends and neighbors I know have committed to assembling 5,000 piece jigsaw puzzles as a way to create a sense of marital bliss and peace as couples use their energy to not only sort puzzle pieces but get a sense of togetherness facing this non life threatening challenge.
Working such pictorial puzzles is really not everyone’s cup of tea.
Have you ever considered taking the Lego challenge and not only involve your spouse but your children to get creative putting Lego blocks together?
Lego is not as restrictive as jigsaw puzzles might be. You can add as many pieces as you want and the more pieces the merry many folks are telling me.
So since it is not too late to add this item to Santa’s wish list consider it and surprise yourself at how creatively constructive you and your family might be.
The Lego items in the photo above have inspired me to visit a Toy’s R Us store and buy a regular sized set for my own home. Wish me luck.
Maybe next year I will consider buying the life sized one ( but not really).
Merry Christmas one and all. Mask up. Be safe. 🙂
