What you do in this world is a matter of no consequence. The question is what can you make people believe you have done.―
I woke up this morning a little after 8 a.m. and noticed these two gents enjoying a slurp of bottled water with one of them sitting atop a steel case. They joked and laughed and teased one another which was not really a cause for concern. It was a sunny day and they made the most of it.
After a few minutes of this innocuous banter I noticed one man stand up , place his empty bottle on the concrete and slowly open the case and extract a power cord from the case’s interior which he immediately plugged into a nearby outdoor socket.
He handed his accomplice a control unit similar to one that is used for video gaming. The opened case contained some type of motor. Switches and controls were manipulated and pressed for a few minutes.
They then continued their chatting while the unit received an electrical charge. The man n on the ride side of the photo is a resident here but he was hijacking the power from his next door neighbor.
After a few moment the man on the left began fiddling with the control unit in his hands and both men smiled as whatever the unit controlled functioned perfectly. Apparently the increased energy from the outlet helped them examine the motor.
The two men finished their waters, chatted for a few more minutes and then the man on the left side of photo picked up the case and left the premises returning to his truck which he had parked across the street behind some trees in a commercial parking area.
In this day and age there is a lot of “suspicious” activity taking place that really should not be accepted as above suspicion. The purpose of that motor still baffles me.
I think great story lines and works of fiction start out as being innocuous acts that morph into something a bit more intriguing.
Gerry–I do believe you could write a book about the strange goings-on you see out your window. You may call me Gerry. Gerry, PI.

At my age I could become private eye like Barnaby Jones and not Tom Magnum. You did watch that tv show right? 🙂

hahaha next time you see the neighbour, just ask him.. 😉
I would ask him Lisa if I could but can’t. My former next door neighbor and myself have a history. I had to report him for number of rental and safety infractions. 🙂
