This hat is made for dancing!

“At commencement you wear your square-shaped mortarboards. My hope is that from time to time you will let your mind be bold and wear sombreros.”–  Paul A. Freund

Yesterday’s Saturday Challenge on partner Susan and my alternate site, WEEKLY PROMPTS, was the word HATS.

Susan chose this particular word because she knows I am a person of many hats and prefer wearing a peak cap and not baseball cap during the spring and summer months.

Since this was an open -ended challenge I chose to highlight the sombrero as the “hat” of choice.  The stereotype shows all people from Mexico wearing the sombrero. But when you actually visit the country that is not the truth.

The Mexican hat dance is a lively and exciting dance to watch being performed. You can’t help yourself and start moving your own feet to the beat of the music.

I enjoy Spanish and Cuban music as well as the many varieties of delicious foods these countries have to offer visitors.

Since I am currently studying Spanish I will end this article by saying adios to one and all.
