There’s no time like the present

“Remember then: there is only one time that is important – NOW. It is the most important time because it is the only time when we have any power.” – Leo Tolstoy..

This weekend’s photo challenge on Susan and my alternate site, WEEKLY  PROMPTS, was CLOCK THE TIME.

There are moments in life when paying too much attention to time and deadlines robs us of the joy and the wonders of events passing by unnoticed and underappreciated. This one such occasion.

I noticed these two travelling companions (and I assume friends) leisurely ambling down the sidewalk enjoying the day and one another’s company.

They were a quiet couple with a connection that went far beyond words.

The weather was warm that day. The recent layer of snow had recently been cleared from the sidewalk. It appears that they had been on a shopping spree and were heading back home from their day’s outing.

Many times in life it is far better to appreciate the passing moments we are sharing with others than concentrate of the mere computation of those moments that have passed us by.
