“Crystals have been used for centuries to promote serenity and as a tool for meditation. They can be helpful allies in our quest for calm.” ― Amy Leigh Mercree.

Last Saturday’s photo challenge on Susan and my alternate site, WEEKLY PROMPTS , was the word CRYSTAL.
I searched a number of days for a photo to accommodate this challenge and was stumped until I was walking inside West Edmonton Mall and noticed the crystal like leaves on the trees near the indoor skating rink.
The sunlight transformed the leaves into shining points of light and the skaters on the ice and the music playing in the background made it indeed a winter wonderland.
It was a calm and peaceful setting to strap on a set of ice skates and let your spirit soar as you propelled yourself on the smooth blanket of ice.
I am sure Hans Brinker of “The Silver Skates” would feel quite at home here.
And did you don your skates and pull on that sparkling lycra top that I like so much?
Lovely photo and perfect for our challenge. 🙂

WAs thinking of putting on a pair of skates but with my luck would do a quick tumble and plow into one of the rink side trees and get charged for the shattering experience. 🙂

The lights on the rink is magical at night when skaters are around and the lights reflect on the glass .
