“Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony.” ―
Raffle ticket offers dream car
This week’s Photo Challenge on Susan and my alternate website is the color WHITE. It is the start of a new month and our site features a new shade every month.
As I was ambling about West Edmonton Mall last Friday morning after the mall’s security test debacle I walked by this impressive , eye catching vehicle.
It was highlighted in a display area all its own and was available to anyone who decided to invest the money for a raffle ticket.
The person selling the tickets was not at her station and the cost per ticket was not displayed anywhere. I decided to snap a few photos of the vehicle to present here.
The visually awesome feature of this vehicle was the way in which the doors opened . I wondered if this was a family offshoot of the Batmobile.
Scissor Doors, also known as Lamborghini doors, Lambo doors, wing doors, turtle doors, switchblade doors, beetle-wing doors, and swing-up doors, are common to the Lamborghini brand.
The doors, which open upward and pivot at the front of the door, behind the fender, add an exotic, distinct, and unmistakably powerful style to any car, but for Lamborghini, they serve another purpose: rear visibility.
The scissor door system was first implemented on the Countach to enhance safety when driving in reverse. To see properly, drivers had to lean out the door and look behind them.
The scissor door system permitted drivers to open the doors upward and look behind the car without fear of hitting anything while backing up.
Needless to say if the ticket seller was at her station I would have purchased a few raffle tickets to lay claim to this stunning vehicle.
It is good to know that this white vehicle will not set you back a great deal of your hard earned green. – gc
The vehicle in this series of photos is a 2019 McLaren 720S. It has a value of over $433,000. Tickets cost $20 or ten for $60. The raffle for the vehicle will be held on January 5, 2020 at West Edmonton Mall. And yes Susan I purchased one ticket. Didn’t want to go overboard on this one.
