We normally assume that a silhouette lacks character and is dependent upon a human host and a light source for its substance. There are those rare moments when a person’s shadow decides to be proactive and interact with its host. In this photo the shadowy figure is more than willing to help the man get inside the building where it is warm. It is a moment when the ethereal meets the physical. – gc
